I received a quick update from a good friend in Broome, Glen, who heads up Australia's North West Tourism who can assist you with any information you're wanting to know about travel to this wonderful region of Australia.
Anyway to the story. Glen recently took his 7 year-old son Noah on a fishing trip to 80 mile beach for his birthday. While fishing off the beach with half a mulie for bait, Glen handed the rod over to Noah to hold while he ran off to do something else.
Right on cue according to Glen, Noah started yelling out he had something on as soon as Glen handed him the rod. Suspecting nothing, Glen ignored him but after 5 minutes finally wandered down to check on things. Only then did he realise quite what Noah "had on" and with a bit of help, Noah landed the 23 pound threadfin salmon pictured!!!
Now that's a cracker threadfin for a young lad! Way to go, Noah.
Tight lines.
Rob.
