New ladies’ PFD adds fashion to Boat Show Category: News

Water safety and smart fashion have been brought together in a new ladies’ personal flotation device being launched at the 2009 BIA Melbourne Boat Show next week.

PFD Australia has combined style and safety in the sleek new ladies’ Storm Rider Pro inflatable PFDs.

Designed and made in Australia, the smart new PFDs feature PFD Australia’s patented front opening system, which keeps the brightly coloured bladder hidden until it is deployed.

The bright safety colours of the bladder ensure high visibility in the water, so the colour of the jacket itself can be chosen for style rather than visibility.

The new ladies’ model comes in a choice of red, red-and-white and red-and-navy, all featuring reflective silver piping.

As with the men’s Storm Rider models, removable sleeves and hood mean it can be worn as a sleeveless vest in warmer weather, and an internal belt is used to fasten the PFD at all times so it can be worn with the front opening of the jacket unzipped if preferred.

The Melbourne Boat Show opens next Thursday 2 July and runs to Monday 6 July at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
Opening hours are 10am to 9pm daily except Sunday, when the show closes at 7pm, and Monday when it closes at 8pm.
