In this episode, host Rob Paxevanos, the Fishing Australia team and celebrity chef James Reeson from WIN’s Alive and Cooking show continue their travels in the Kimberley region of Western Australia as they fish and cook their way through this strikingly beautiful yet rugged country.
The episode warms up with some river fishing where Rob and James share a few chuckles while catching barramundi and mangrove Jack.
On the rocky shoreline James works his magic and cooks up a campfire feast with a difference! Freshly caught fingermark bream fried over hot coals with a simple yet tasty ginger, coconut and chilli dipping sauce. Recipe details can be found below.
Next up is a trip to the shark-infested waters surrounding Cassini Island, off the coast of Broome. Rob and James struggle against the snapping jaws of sharks when reeling in Spanish mackerel, coral trout and giant trevally. One catch even has a chunk missing!
In an act of karma, James snags a big hammer head shark! But does he have the skill and man power to reel it in?
