Host Rob Paxevanos and the Fishing Australia team team up with Erin McNaught, former Miss Australia 2006 and highly sought after television presenter. Erin turns heads wherever she goes... but can she fish?
To find out, Rob takes Erin on a trip to South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula with its 2,000 kilometres of pristine coastline, abundant with bays great for fishing and stunning cliff faces ideal for whale watching where Erin shows off her angling abilities on the waters of the small settlement of Arno Bay.
Rob was suitably impressed: “I heard Erin was keen on fishing, but I hear that a lot about celebrities. So I was surprised when I saw she was handy at casting plastics.”
Erin and Rob also share an interest in sustainable fishing – which is a hot issue in today’s fishing industry – when a massive gummy shark is snared.
Also in this episode, Rob goes on the hunt for a big snapper at Whyalla, known to locals as the snapper capital of Australia wiith the sideline benefit being that you can also target good sized salmon and King George whiting.
